About Wings Alliance We are different! At the heart of the Wings Alliance is a not-for-profit trade association established to promote training courses which are part of career pathways. The idea is that we don’t sell courses for their own sake and believe that the sole purpose of professional pilot training is to help our trainees gain employment as professional pilots. We are also built on some strong values: We believe in being fair, open and honest. We won’t make promises to you that we cannot deliver. We’ll tell you the truth – what you need to hear rather than what we think you want to hear. We won’t rip you off by over-charging, and our trading terms and conditions are ethical, fair and explicit. We believe in quality training. While we will always strive to provide you with best value, we will not do so at the expense of safety and quality. The training we provide is the foundation of your career and it is important that you are taught correctly from the beginning. We have a number of European Member schools, each of which is signed up to our values and mission. Details are on the members page. This is what some others think about us and what we are trying to achieve: Guy Gilbert-Johns WA Alumni “Wings Alliance has provided me with the best possible platform to launch my pilot career from. The APC course has provided me with the knowledge and skills needed to approach the commercial industry with confidence.” A spokesperson from The British Airline Pilots Association (BALPA) said: “BALPA supports initiatives that open up the training options for aspiring pilots. The modular route gives students the same licence as integrated programmes, but gives them flexibility because it allows them to complete sections of the course at a time, and pace that suits them and their finances.” While emphasising the importance of individual choice BALPA went on to say: “We wish the Wings Alliance luck in their new venture and hope it reaches a diverse range of students.” “Wings Alliance, is a unique high quality training route, the first of its kind in the world. Through our members we can offer a real alternative for aspiring commercial pilots who are seeking a direct route to airline employment.” Alex Whittingham of Bristol Groundschool, a founder member of the Wings Alliance.
